Do I need a referral?
It depends on your plan. Many patients come to us directly; some insurers require a referral from your primary care physician first. Call the office and we will check your specific plan before you book.
What to bring
Insurance card, photo ID, a current medication list, and any prior cardiac records, echocardiograms or stress test results you have. Prior imaging is genuinely useful — bring it if you have it.
Symptoms worth an appointment
Chest discomfort with exertion, shortness of breath that is new or worsening, palpitations, light-headedness or fainting, or swelling in the legs. A family history of early heart disease is also a reasonable reason to be evaluated even without symptoms.
Emergency
Chest pain, severe shortness of breath, fainting, or symptoms of a stroke are emergencies. Call 911 or go to the nearest emergency department. Do not wait for an office appointment.
